AdventHealth Partners with Churches to Provide COVID-19 Vaccines

3 Min Read Published on: 6 hours ago More than a third of Americans reported they were unlikely or unsure whether to get a COVID-19 vaccine in a study published earlier in 2021 by the journal Vaccine. AdventHealth is working to reduce this number by taking vaccines directly to the heart of many communities the local church. Houses of worship of various faiths are held in special regard by millions of American believers. For many, the church is where families celebrate meaningful milestones like weddings, baby dedications, baptisms, and more. It’s where generations gather together (even virtually, as the pandemic has shown) for encouragement in the toughest of times.

Protest calls for corporations to end Masters ties in stand against change to Georgia voting rights Amanda King, Augusta Chronicle © AMANDA KING Protesters gather at the intersection of Berckmans and Washington roads to speak out against Georgia Senate Bill 202 Saturday, April 10, 2021 in Augusta, Ga. A statewide church group and other organizations gathered near the Augusta National Golf Club on Saturday to rally for a change in the new Georgia voting law and end what they called Jim Crow 2.0. About three dozen people attended to encourage corporations attending or sponsoring the tournament to take a stand against Senate Bill 202, which they say limits voting specifically for Blacks.
