An Alton man who was charged late last month with the alleged sexual assault of a child has been formally indicted in Madison County Circuit Court. 38-year-old Kenneth Withrow of the 700 block of Reuter Street was indicted on two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, and 5 counts of criminal sexual abuse, and a count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. The victim was under the age of 14 at the time.
According to the case presented by Alton Police to the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office, Withrow allegedly committed the crimes on several occasions for more than two years starting in November 2019, the first two incidents took place when the victim was under the age of 13, the other 6 took place after the victim turned 13. Withrow remains held in the Madison County Jail awaiting his next court date.
EDWARDSVILLE A Champaign-based internet and video services provider claims the owners of an Edwardsville apartment townhome community failed to pay for their services.
Pavlov Media Inc., filed a complaint April 12 in Madison County Circuit Court against Enclave LLC, unknown members of Enclave LLC, Crevo Capital LLC, Fireside Financial LLC and Enclave Blvd LLC alleging breach of written agreements, breach of implied contract and unjust enrichment.
According to Pavlov Media s complaint, two agreements were entered into in January of 2012, to provide video and internet services on property owned and operated by Enclave. The agreement included internet servcies for $15.50 per month per bed for 352 beds at $5,456 per month which increased to $6,332.48 per month beginning in August of 2019, according to the suit.

EDWARDSVILLE An Edwardsville cafe is facing a suit alleging default on a $66,000 loan from Providence Bank.
Providence Bank filed a complaint April 7 in Madison County Circuit Court against The Obar LLC, CMC Investments & Development LLC, Edmund Jones and Chelsea Coughlin alleging breach of note and breach of Guaranties.
According to Providence Bank s complaint, OBar borrowed $66,000 from the bank and executed a commericial security agreement on March 22, 2019, as collateral and was perfected on May 6, 2019, and further secured by CMC, Jones and Coughlin. Also according to the suit, Providence Bank and the defendants entered into a forbearance agreement due to the initial uncertainty brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic and on July 2, 2020, the loan terms changed again with the parties entering into a loan deferment agreement.

Murder victim Cody Stradford was alleged to have loudly begged two men to stop hitting him during a violent, and ultimately deadly, encounter at a Mountain Home residence on Dec.4 last year.
According to information just released by 14th Judicial District Prosecutor David Ethredge, 28-year-old Ryan Lindsey and 38-year-old Skylar Whitney Brazil are reported to have beaten the 35-year-old Stradford for up to an hour while he “begged for it to stop.”
It was also announced Monday that the death penalty will be sought for Lindsey and 42-year-old Allison Cunningham. Investigators report Lindsey and Cunningham have allegedly admitted to acquaintances they both shot Stradford at some point during the episode.
