New Delhi: Ahead of the upcoming assembly elections in four states and one union territory, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has asked the Central government to remove Prime Minister Narendra Modi s photo from Covid-19 vaccine certificates in the poll-bound states and UT.
According to the Economic Times, the EC wrote a letter to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) reiterating its guidelines on the model code of conduct while asking for the removal of the Prime Minister s image and name in vaccine certificates issued in West Bengal, Assam, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry.
