District Attorney Bob Manzi announced today that an SCI Pine Grove inmate was found guilty and sentenced for assaulting a prison guard.
22-year-old Jason Hinshaw of Indiana was found guilty yesterday of a felony charge of aggravated assault for an incident at the state prison facility on February 6
th of last year. Hinshaw was in possession of an electronic tablet that did not belong to him. When he was confronted by a corrections officer about it, he threatened and kicked the officer in the back. He was ordered by Judge Michael Clark to serve 15 months to seven years in state prison after the guilty verdict was handed down in the non-jury trial.

The Indiana County Drug Task Force and District Attorney Bob Manzi announced an arrest connected to one of the largest heroin and fentanyl busts in Indiana County history.
The task force announced the arrest of 34-year-old Allan Burnheimer of Black Lick connected with the drug bust. On April 8
th, police stopped a vehicle on Route 22 near Blairsville and discovered 50 bricks or 2,500 stamp bags of a mixture of heroin and fentanyl worth about $25,000. When police searched Burnheimer’s property, they found $70,000 in cash hidden in the home. Burnheimer also admitted that he purchased the home using drug money.
