The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension has released the name of a man who is alleged to have committed a carjacking in the Pike Lake area Friday night.
The medical examiner identified Scott Michael Jordon, 34, of Duluth, according to a release from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, which investigated the case. Though the St. Louis County Sheriff s Office reported using deadly force in the incident according to a release it issued late Friday, the examiner found that the cause of Jordon s death was a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

A man has died in St. Louis County after a sheriff s deputy used deadly force while tracking him after an alleged carjacking Friday evening.
The St. Louis County Sheriff s Office says a deputy was tracking a male suspect in a wooded area northeast of the Saginaw Union Station and used deadly force while utilizing a canine to track the subject.
It s not clear at this stage what the deadly force comprised, and whether it involved the K-9 officer, with more details expected to be released at a later date by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, which is investigating.

St. Louis County authorities confirmed that there was a fatal officer-involved shooting in the Saginaw area. They said the male was a suspect in an armed carjacking in Pike Lake.
