Taco Bell Enters The Chicken Sandwich Wars

The Chicken Wars Explained, McDonalds Popeyes

Share this article We need to talk about the chicken wars. If you’re tired of hearing about them, you’re going to have to take that up with (fast-dining) corporate. If you haven’t heard about them, in summary: chicken is suddenly everywhere. From McDonald’s, Burger King, Taco Bell and Wendy’s to your airport terminal stand-by’s and self-described “modern burger stands”, almost every tier and genre of quick-service restaurant (QSR) and its cousin is on this year’s slate of hot new crispy chicken. A donut breakfast sandwich and more extreme fast food

Over-the-top fast food dishes from across America By Saundra Latham of Cheapism | Digestive Double Dares Fast food used to be a simple burger-and-fries affair, but for many big-name chains, food stunts can create buzz and swipe curious customers from the competition. We ve rounded up several of the zaniest items to grace U.S. menus in the past 10 years or so. (For even more unexpected menu options, check out 50 Fast-Food Menu Items You ll Only Fin

HAL S KITCHEN: Gluten-free Oreo cookies are here!

Article content My wife Jackie loves Oreo cookies but she can’t eat gluten. So when I told her recently that gluten-free Oreos were coming, she was excited and started watching for them in grocery stores. She finally saw them this week and grabbed some. Here’s her review. “Gluten-free Oreo cookies are so good! The taste is spot on, just like the original ones. They’ve swapped out the wheat flour for white rice flour and for once, you don’t get that gritty texture. If you’ve tried gluten-free cookies, then you know a lot of them tend to crumble which is super annoying. These don’t! The only downfall is the price, almost double what you’d pay for a package of original Oreos. But that’s always the case with gluten-free foods. Sigh! That said, I’d still buy them whenever I’m craving an Oreo cookie.”
