The accident happened around 9:21 p.m., Oak Creek Police said.
Erika, who declined to provide her last name, said her son was riding around 5th Avenue when he was hit.
“He suffered four clean breaks on the tibia and fibula of both legs,” Erika said. Julian also suffered a small brain hemorrhage that has cleared and “pretty severe road rash” on his stomach, forearm and ear.
Erika said her son will be going in for surgery to have rods put into his legs.
“All in all though, he s been talking and doing really good the entire time,” she said. “The vehicle that hit him looked like it hit a deer. This entire situation, though terrible, was a miracle.”

The victim, a 37-year-old woman from Milwaukee, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and refused medical attention.
The suspect, a 58-year-old man from Milwaukee, sustained lacerations from the glass and was treated at the hospital.
Criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the upcoming days.

A 20-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested in connection.
