Police say there was a two-car crash at the intersection of Route 5 and Governor s highway between a truck and tow truck. Multiple people were injured.
Police added that three people were taken to the hospital with serious physical injuries. One person suffered only minor injuries.
The Metro Traffic Services were called to the scene to help and the crash is under investigation.

SOUTH WINDSOR A crash on Route 5 near Governors Highway left several people injured Monday, according to police.
Three people were seriously injured and one person had “minor injuries,” Sgt. Mark Cleverdon said in an email. A truck and a tow truck were involved in the incident, according to Cleverdon.
“The road is partially open and will be fully open within the hour,” Cleverdon wrote in an email a few minutes before 7:50 p.m.
