Many GPs are STILL not opening their doors - and patients are in despair

For the past 25 years Dr Irfan Malik has prided himself on getting to know as many of his patients as possible.  It means that during appointments at his Nottingham practice the GP instinctively knows when something isn t quite right. I like looking at a patient, observing things they might not have seen, he says. By observing someone I can tell, for example, if they are anaemic. The same goes with weight if they have lost weight I will know that from just seeing them because I have known them for so long. If you see someone face to face there are non-verbal cues and body language that you pick up on.

Because it was about 200 metres from the SAS entrance, I thought it might have something to do with them or a training exercise but it could be a coincidence. It s amazing anyone got out of the car alive.   Paramedics treated three people for minor injuries, and one was taken to hospital as the road was closed for two hours. Credenhill is the home of the SAS, with the crash happening just yards from the headquarters of the elite Who Dares Wins regiment
