A resident living close the to the scene of a fatal shooting near Birmingham s City Hospital has described hearing a loud bang at the time of the murder..
POLICE and paramedics were alerted to a medical emergency in Stourbridge s Ryemarket shopping centre. West Midlands Ambulance Service sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer and a critical care paramedic to the scene and a spokesman confirmed: “We were called at 1:21pm to reports of a medical emergency in Ryemarket, Stourbridge. She said crews found a woman in a critical condition with a bystander already performing CPR and she added: Staff took over treatment and carried out advanced life support at the scene and on route to hospital.”

The victim was attacked on Wood Green Road just before 1am.
He was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to hospital.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: We were called at 0.55am on Tuesday morning to reports of a stabbing on Wood Green Road, Wednesbury. An ambulance and a paramedic officer attended and found one man who had sustained a serious injury. He was given trauma care on scene before being conveyed to hospital for further treatment.
West Midlands Police have been approached for comment.
