Nathan Frost has appeared at the High Court in Wellington this morning via audio-visual link from New Plymouth.
The 21-year-old has admitted the double murder - of his 15-year-old half-brother, Regan Frost-Lawn, and 55-year-old father, Stephen Frost.
He ll be sentenced next month.

A man has pleaded guilty to murdering two people in South Taranaki in the early hours of January 18. He previously entered deemed not guilty pleas and a forensic psychiatrist was employed to assess his mental health. Justice Mallon said a further health assessment report had been ordered under the Criminal Procedure (Mentally Impaired Persons) Act. On the basis of those reports, she was satisfied Frost was fit to stand trial. Each murder charge was then read to Frost who quietly but clearly admitted guilt to both. The summary of facts and victim impact statements would be filed to the court in due course, it was heard.
