A South Taranaki town is hurting after the bodies of Stephen John Frost, 55, and his 15-year-old son Regan Frost-Lawn were found at a Manawapou Rd property on Monday.
As the Hāwera community comes to terms with the “ripple effect” of an alleged double murder, those who knew the deceased say they are still in shock. The bodies of Stephen John Frost, 55, and his 15-year-old son Regan Frost-Lawn were discovered by police after officers were called to a house in Manawapou Rd, about 2.50am Monday. A homicide investigation was launched and a 21-year-old man has been charged with their murder.
A Taranaki father who was found dead alongside his son in a South Taranaki home will be remembered as a kind man who was always laughing, his niece says.

The father and son killed in a Hāwera home early Monday morning have been confirmed by police as 15-year-old Regan Frost-Lawn and 55-year-old Stephen John Frost.
Their bodies were found by police who were called to a property in Manawa pou Rd at 2.30am on Monday.
