The promo was launched on June 10 to reward loyal LAGFERRY customers, boost patronage and popularise water transportation to decongest traffic on Lagos roads.

He said that the ‘sailing and smiling’ promo was facilitated by the Lagos State Waterways Authority, Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency, Samsung, Lagos State Lottery and Gaming Authority, LAGFERRY, Elivat9ja, Coscharis Group and the Nigerian Breweries Plc.

Lagos State governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has outlined a number of projects that Lagosians should expect from his administration in the next two years, even as he declared that the state had already been turned to a huge construction site, urging Lagosians to bear with his administration over some discomfort being experienced due to ongoing construction projects in the state.
The governor made this known, on Thursday, in his address at the State House, Alausa Ikeja, to mark his 731 days in office.
Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA), has commenced the distribution of free life jackets to residents of different riverine communities in Lagos State.
In continuation of its safety awareness campaign programme
Speaking on the exercise, the General Manager of LASWA, Mr. Oluwadamilola Emmanuel, said that the items were distributed to ensure passenger safety during the rainy season, just as he pointed out that the number of boat mishaps has reduced since Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu assumed office.
“This success story is due to the massive investment of the current administration in the waterways sub-sector, especially in safety improvement and awareness”, he added.
