Ex-Therapist Sentenced to Prison for Sexually Battering 7 Female Patients

By City News Service Jan 22, 2021 PASADENA (CNS) - A former marriage and family therapist was sentenced today to four years in state prison for sexually battering seven female patients. Edgar Gustavo Villamarin, 66, of Pasadena, was also ordered to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney s Office. Villamarin who pleaded no contest Sept. 23 to seven counts of sexual battery by fraud surrendered after the hearing to begin serving his term. The victims were touched or fondled by Villamarin between 2014 and 2018, according to Deputy District Attorney Lisa Daruty Tanner.

Husband Charged With Attempted Murder Of Wife, Mayhem, Child Abuse Returns To Court A husband accused of the attempted murder of his wife returned to court Wednesday for several charges, including mayhem and child abuse, in a case that detectives called “one of the worst domestic violence assaults they have seen.” David Charles, 58, of Canyon Country, is charged with two counts of attempted murder and one count each of: injuring a spouse; mayhem; child abuse under circumstances or conditions likely to produce great bodily injury or death; assault with a deadly weapon, a car; and assault by means of force likely to produce great bodily injury, according to Ricardo Santiago, spokesperson for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

In November, Lanez pleaded not guilty to an assault charge, lodged by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, in relation to the alleged shooting. As Complex reported, a recent series of tweets claimed the charges against Tory Lanez had been dropped, pointing to a screenshot of a Los Angeles County-area court website. The screenshot of the website said there was “no information found” in the criminal case summary of Daystar Peterson, the real name of Tory Lanez, that was filed October 8.
