THE warrant for a former vet wanted in the UK to face multiple charges of sexual activity with animals and of having extreme pornographic material is fatally flawed due to Brexit, his legal team have told the High Court today.
Oliver Lown (35), with an address at Main Road, Kesgrave, Suffolk, is wanted by authorities in the United Kingdom to face 12 offences, which also include making indecent images of children.
Barrister for Mr Lown, Kieran Kelly BL, told the High Court today while the warrant for Mr Lown was issued in December of last year, it was only endorsed by Irish courts in January of this year, after Brexit, and that his client s arrest was not until February.

An Garda Síochána in Donegal and the Joint Policing Committee recognise that young people throughout the County of Donegal have been involved in good and positive endeavours locally.
The Donegal Garda Youth Awards reward those young people who by their presence make their communities a better place to live in.
The nomination process is now open, and An Garda Síochána in Donegal is now inviting the public to nominate a young person they know who is committed to making a difference to their community during 2020.
Andrew Burns (27) was shot twice in the back in a church car park in Co Donegal.
It happened around 7pm on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at Donnyloop, Castlefin.
Mr Burns was later found on a roadway close to Donnyloop Church. He was pronounced dead shortly before 8pm.
Dissident republican group Oglaigh na hEireann were blamed for the murder.
Gardai have previously said they believe 12 people were involved but just one man was convicted in relation to the killing. Martin Kelly, also from Strabane, was jailed for life in 2012 for his part in the murder.
In a new appeal, gardai said Mr Burns’ family remain devastated by this callous act and continue to struggle to come to terms with his murder.
