But in a shock twist, Krayem fronted Bankstown Local Court on Thursday facing his own sexual assault charges.  The 22-year-old was charged with sexual intercourse without consent following an alleged incident in a carpark in Sydney s western suburbs last year, 7 News reported.

A woman has been charged after allegedly walking down a busy street in Sydney while carrying a burning Israeli flag in protest at escalating violence in the Middle East. Police were conducting patrols at Lakemba in Sydney s south-west on Tuesday night when they were alerted to an unauthorised protest of about 200 people in a reserve on The Boulevarde. Officers contacted the organiser to assist with the safe facilitation of the protest, but about 9:30pm spotted a woman allegedly weaving through traffic while holding a burning Israeli flag. Police took the flag off her, and as it was being extinguished the woman allegedly ran from officers.

Police have been told the woman tried to escape the vehicle twice and called on passers-by to help. The alleged incident began after an argument between the 36-year-old man and 28-year-old woman at a home on Ivy Street, Greenacre, about 9am on Sunday, police said in a statement on Monday. Police will allege in court the man hit the woman multiple times in the face, head and body before she tried to leave with her eight-month-old son.
