Ranee Brayton to retire as Northeast Regional Medical Center s CEO

Ranee Brayton, CEO of Northeast Regional Medical Center, is retiring from that position later this year.
The move was announced Wednesday with a press release from the hospital. That release said a search for her successor is underway.
Brayton will remain with the hospital as Vice President of Development to “continue advancing strategies and competitive position in the region.” She will work with leadership at NRMC and Moberly Regional Medical Center to connect with potential partners for growth.
“Ranee has been a strong leader for the hospital and we are fortunate to retain her counsel and expertise going forward,” said James (Jim) Robertson, Chairman of the hospital Board of Trustees. “She has developed strong working relationships with physicians, employees, community leaders and regional providers and we appreciate her continued support.”
18 new cases, 2 deaths from COVID-19 in Adair County

Adair County’s COVID-related death total hit 15 on Thursday with the deaths of two more county residents.
A 63-year-old female who had been on a ventilator at University Hospital in Columbia since Nov. 20, and a 75-year-old man admitted to Northeast Regional Medical Center on Dec. 25 who had been on a ventilator since Jan.1, both died on Thursday.
The Adair County Health Department also confirmed 18 new cases on Thursday, bringing the county total to 1,880. There are 104 active cases. A 42-year-old woman whose case was reported Wednesday was also admitted to NRMC on Jan. 6.
Adair County reaches 1,814 total cases, 13 deaths from COVID-19

Adair County is at 1,814 total cases of COVID-19 and 13 deaths from the virus, according to an update Monday by the health department.
There were 25 new cases confirmed over the New Year’s weekend and 24 more on Monday, leaving 109 active cases in the county.
The deaths involve an 85-year-old male who had been hospitalized at the Truman Memorial Veterans’ Hospital in Columbia and a 71-year-old male who died on Jan. 2 after receiving a positive diagnosis the day before.
Monday’s confirmed cases include females ages 6, 9, 10, 12, 16, 18, 24, 27, 31, 39, 43, 45, 46, 48, 50, 53, 65, 70 and 81. Males are ages 10, 14, 15, 20 and 22. Twelve cases are in households with at least one other confirmed case. Nine cases are in the K-12 sector.
Adair County Health Department reports 19 new cases of COVID-19

The Adair County Health Department confirmed 19 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday.
There have now been 1,833 confirmed cases in the county, 111 are active and 1,709 people who have left isolation. Thirteen residents have died from COVID-related complications.
Tuesday’s cases include two females age 19 and two age 21, plus individuals aged 22, 23, 26, 33, 35, 38, two age 40 and 80. Males include two 15-year-olds, 47, 48, 51 and 84. Five are in households with at least one other confirmed case and two are in the K-12 schools sector.
A 75-year-old male admitted to Northeast Regional Medical Center on Christmas Day was placed on a ventilator on Jan. 1. An 85-year-old female also admitted on Dec. 25 was discharged on Jan. 4, 2021.
