Gov. Pritzker Announces Nine Appointments to Illinois Boards and Commissions
Building on a strong team of diverse experts in their fields, Governor JB Pritzker announced the following appointments in his administration:
ILLINOIS STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION
Christine Benson will continue to serve on the Illinois State Board of Education. For about six years, Benson served as the Superintendent of Streator Elementary School District #44. Previously, she was the Superintendent of the Ottawa Elementary School District #141 and the Mendota TWP High School District #280. Additionally, Benson spent twenty years as a teacher in areas of general, choral and instrumental music. Benson is active in her community where she serves as the Treasurer and past President of the Rotary Club. She received her Bachelor of Music Education, Master of Science in Education Administration and her Certificate of Advance Study in Education Adminis

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) DuJuan McCoy, Owner, President and CEO of Circle City Broadcasting (parent company of WISH-TV and MyINDY-TV 23), today announced that veteran meteorologist Randy Ollis has signed a multiyear deal.
“I’m thrilled to announce that I have signed a new long-term contract with WISH-TV to keep me at the station for another two-and-a-half years in a new-and-improved role” announced Ollis. “I get to keep telling you the weather every weekday while having more on-air fun with my Daybreak and Indy Style friends, along with connecting and engaging with all of my Facebook fans!”
“As Randy marks his 65th birthday today, Feb. 5, we are very happy to announce that Randy will continue to be a part of the WISH-TV family with only slight changes to his daily routine.” said McCoy. “Starting in March, Randy will start his day later in the morning with expanded duties on Indy Style while continuing weather for Midday at 11a.m.”
Event Description
This course will cover major topics in human anatomy at the gross level, things that can be seen with the eye. Topics covered may include the skeletal system, skull and brain, special senses, major muscles of the upper and lower body, organs of the thorax and abdomen, and reproduction. Models will be used frequently throughout the course to allow for demonstration of key concepts. A heart and brain will be shown for those topics.
Convenor: Mary McGinn has degrees from several schools, including Northern Illinois University. She is currently on the anatomy faculty and loves teaching in the laboratories. Prof. McGinn is also involved in the Anatomy Club at NIU, STEM Fest, and the Anatomy High School Outreach Course.
