A snowmobile operator sustained serious injuries after a collision in Northern Bruce Peninsula on Thursday afternoon.
Just after 1:30 p.m., Grey Bruce OPP responded to a trail near Tobermory, where a 61-year-old operator had lost control of a snowmobile and collided with a tree, police said in a news release.

OPP officers were assisted at the scene by Bruce County Paramedics and the Northern Bruce Peninsula Fire Department.
The operator sustained serious injuries that are not considered life threatening and was airlifted to a regional hospital, the release said.
