Caroline Wilson, 82, passed away due to natural causes Thursday, April 1, 2021, at Northern Montana Care Center in Havre. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 8, 2021, at Van Orsdel United Methodist Church with Pastor Jack Mattingly officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Caroline s family has suggested memorial donations be made in her memory to the National Stroke Association, 9707 E. Easter Ln. Ste. B, Centennial, CO 80112. Havre City Council Monday unanimously approved a variance to allow a local group to put up 40 ribbons and signs downtown in memory of the 40 Hill County residents who have died from COVID-19-related causes. Will Rawn, a member of the group, said they had received a one-month approval from the Montana Department of Transportation to display the white ribbons and signs, and removed the signs Sunday but wanted to put them up downtown.

Helen “Arlene” Brown, 92, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2021, due to natural causes at the Northern Montana Care Center. A visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 2021, at the Holland & Bonine Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 5, 2021, at Fifth Avenue Christian Church with Ila McClenahan officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Arlene’s family has suggested memorial donations be made in her memory to the Northern Montana Care Center or the charity of the donor’s choice.

A major COVID-19 vaccination clinic has been announced in the region at the same time that a reminder the virus that causes the disease is still in the area and still a danger. Rocky Boy Health Center announced a mass vaccination clinic set for Wednesday at the Stone Child College vo-tech building. At the same time, Northern Montana Health Care sent a notice out to family members of residents Thursday saying an employee at Northern Montana Care Center tested positive for COVID-19 and the restriction on visitors to the facility remains in place.
