A MAN in his 80s has been taken to hospital after collapsing on a road in Ellesmere Port. The incident occurred at the entrance to the Chester Road car park, next to Aardvark Veterinary Clinic, shortly before 3pm today (April 8). Passers-by came to the aid of the man before the arrival of the emergency services. A North West Ambulance Service spokesperson confirmed that they were called at 2.47pm following reports that an elderly man had fallen. We have taken a man in his 80s to hospital , the service added. A 12-year-old boy was rushed to hospital after being stabbed in the leg in a horrifying daylight attack.
The child was attacked at around 2pm on Wednesday, with police sealing off the road as officers worked at the scene.
Ambulance crews were also called out to the scene on Southport Road in Bootle and the boy was taken to hospital for treatment.
His condition is not believed to be life-threatening, according to a spokesperson for the police force.
