The state shipped more than 77,240 BinaxNOW antigen COVID-19 tests to 28 private and public higher education institutions. The first shipments started in late November. According to the Missouri Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development, the goal of the tests is to give students, faculty and staff immediate results so they can make decisions regarding isolation. The tests, given at no charge, can be self-administered under supervision by a health care professional.
