A HOMOPHOBIC thug who launched a savage attack on a gay couple and smashed a man in the face with a pool ball so that he feared he was blind in one eye is now behind bars. Brandon Taylor is now serving an extended sentence after he was ruled to be a dangerous offender after a string of violent offences in Worcester and Malvern, including an attack which left a gay couple nursing broken bones in a trauma unit. The 19-year-old was handed a nine and a half year prison sentence at Worcester Crown Court on Friday after attacks which also included a street robbery, biting a man at McDonald’s in Worcester city centre and biting a city police officer.

Man, 26, denies child sex offences against girl, 13, in Worcester

DENIALS: Josh Sims A 26-year-old man has denied a string of child sex offences, including sexually assaulting a girl aged 13. Josh Sims denied six sexual offences when he appeared before magistrates in Worcester yesterday. The defendant of Eachway Lane, Rednal denied four sexual assaults and two assaults by touching. The offences are alleged to have happened in Worcester and Neath in West Glamorgan between 2018 and 2020. Sims was represented at the hearing by Belinda Ariss. The case was prosecuted by Shafquat Reaz. Magistrates declined jurisdiction for the case. Sims was granted conditional bail to attend Worcester Crown Court on May 27. They include non contact with children under 18 and named individuals.
