A round-up of some of the latest cases from Kidderminster Magistrates Court. TWO Stourport men accused of conning a woman into paying for unnecessary works will face trial. Jason Frederick Jones, 26, of Power Station Road, and Jason William Jones, 49, of Worcester Road, both appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on April 14, each charged with six fraud and unfair trading offences. Both entered not guilty pleas to all six of their charges and elected a trial by jury, which has been scheduled for May 12 at Worcester Crown Court. The pair are accused of committing fraud between October 31 and November 2, 2019 by dishonestly making false representations to a Jean Ashton, which they knew were untrue or misleading, and by intending to make a financial gain by carrying out unnecessary works.

Kidderminster man failed to stop after crashing into garden fence

A round-up of some of the latest Kidderminster cases from Worcestershire s magistrates courts. A MAN from Kidderminster failed to stop after he crashed a car into someone s garden fence. Hayden Kent, 26, of Severn Grove, was the driver of a Seat Ibiza when it crashed into a garden fence in Sutton Park Road on May 1 last year, smashing three fence panels and concrete posts which were scattered across the lawn. He then left the scene. At Worcester Magistrates Court on Wednesday, April 7, Kent was fined £440 after pleading guilty to the offence under the Road Traffic Offenders Act. Magistrates also ordered him to pay £155 in costs. Five points will be added to his licence.

Kidderminster man banned from the road, and more from courts

A round-up of some of the latest cases at Worcestershire s magistrates courts. A 22-YEAR-OLD man from Kidderminster was banned from the road after he admitted driving while under the influence of drugs. Patrick Evans, of Exeter Close, drove an Audi A3 in Habberley Road on September 4 last year when the proportion of Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol in his blood exceeded the legal limit. At Kidderminster Magistrates Court on February 12, he was fined £180 and must also pay a £34 victim surcharge and £135 to the CPS. He was also disqualified from driving for 12 months. Evans also admitted breaching a community order made by the same court in October, by failing to attend unpaid work, for which he was fined another £100.
