Hunter Michael Lyle was born at 3 a.m., six pounds nine ounces, to parents Tara and Chris Lyle.

The North Bay Police Service has confirmed one person is dead following a homicide over New Year’s.
A statement released by police says shortly after 2:30 a.m. on New Year’s Day, North Bay police and District of Nipissing Paramedic Services responded to a location on Jane Street for a person in need of medical assistance.

An adult victim was found on the side of Jane Street. The person was transported to the North Bay Regional Health Centre, where the victim was pronounced deceased.

North Bay Coun. Mark King, chairman of District of Nipissing Social Services Administration Board (DNSSAB), said the board is looking to streamline emergency medical Service (EMS) operations and take it over in-house.
The $11.6-million EMS budget is part of DNSSAB’s overall annual budget of $76 million.
“We should have done this two or three years ago, but we had other priorities that we had to move forward with, like the homelessness situation,” King said Friday morning.
