OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (TNN) - Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Hunter has reached an agreement to return the stateâs stockpile of hydroxychloroquine for a refund.
That agreement was reached with FFF Enterprises, a private pharmaceutical wholesaler from California.
The company has agreed to return the drug to the Department of Health for the full price the state paid for it last year.
That price tag is around $2,000,000.
The state bought the hydroxychloroquine during the early days of the Coronavirus pandemic after the FDA granted the drug emergency use authorization as a treatment against the virus.

The state has reached an agreement to return Oklahoma s stockpile of hydroxychloroquine for a refund, Attorney General Mike Hunter announced Friday.
The agreement is with FFF Enterprises, and they have agreed to return the full purchase price paid for the medication last year to the Oklahoma State Health Department.
OSDH purchased the medication at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic after the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) granted emergency use authorization (EUA) for the drug as a treatment for the virus.
The FDA later revoked the EUA, the state health department asked the attorney general s office to help.
