1/1 A PAEDOPHILE who arranged to meet an “11-year-old girl” for sex is due to have his prison sentence reviewed at the Court of Appeal. Matthew Millen travelled to Southampton to have sex with a young girl called Grace. The 44-year-old took out £350 to pay for the horrific act which he planned to film. Without realising it, Millen had been to an undercover police officer and Grace did not exist. He was arrested at a McDonald’s restaurant in Westquay Shopping Centre in March 2019. The former Bank of England cyber-security expert was convicted of attempting to pay for the sexual services of a child following a trial at Southampton Crown Court in December.

Grime artist Solo 45 has sentence increased to 30 years for raping and imprisoning women

Solo 45, whose real name is Andy Anokye, was found guilty of 21 rapes, five counts of false imprisonment, two counts of assault by penetration and two of actual bodily harm at Bristol Crown Court last July. However, following a hearing the Court of Appeal have ruled that his initial sentence was unduly lenient , and he will now spend 30 years in jail for the 30 charges which took place over a two-year period. He also was also handed a five years additional licence to reflect the seriousness of his crimes. Speaking after the ruling which was made by three senior judges, Solicitor General Michael Ellis QC called Anokye s offences truly shocking .
