‘AASSC has trained 16,000 so far’
India’s maintenance, repair & overhaul (MRO) landscape is expected to boom with several new players currently waiting in the wings to join the MRO bandwagon, as per Aerospace and Aviation Sector Skill Council (AASSC), a body that manages skill development for the country’s Aerospace and Aviation sector, under the National Skills Development Corporation.
Even though the pandemic adversely hit the prospects of India’s aviation sector, t “The union government has been trying to trigger growth in the MRO space by creating a conducive environment,” said Rachit Bhatnagar, CEO, AASSC.

A passenger took off his clothes twice and asked to kiss a crew member in a bizarre incident on an AirAsia flight from Delhi to Bengaluru earlier this week. According to an internal report being examined by the aviation ministry, the passenger stripped naked, broke a laptop and requested an Italian smooch from the crew.
On the flight on Monday, it started with the passenger approaching a cabin crew member with request of Italian smooch, which was refused firmly , said the report by the Airports Authority of India (AAI).

New Delhi [India], April 7 (ANI): Senior IAS officer Sanjeev Kumar on Wednesday took over as chairman of the Airports Authority of India.
Prior to this, Kumar an IAS officer of the 1993 batch, Maharashtra cadre was posted as State Commissioner - GST of the Government of Maharashtra
As per a statement, Kumar has served in various ministries and departments of the Maharashtra government. He has also worked as the Joint CEO of Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) and has also been MD of Maharashtra Agro Industries Development Corporation.

Synopsis
It has made amendments to the Cinematograph Act, Copyright Act, Customs Act, Patents Act, Airports Authority of India Act, Trade Marks Act, Geographical Indications of Goods (registration and protection) Act, Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers Rights Act, Control of National Highways (land and traffic) Act, and Finance Act.
The bill was introduced in the Lok Sabha by Minister of State for Finance Anurag Singh Thakur.
The government has issued an ordinance which does away with certain appellate tribunals, including the Film Certification Appellate Tribunal (FCAT) set up to hear appeals of filmmakers, and transfers their functions to other existing judicial bodies.
