HANOI, April 8 (Xinhua) The 14th National Assembly (NA) of Vietnam, the country s top legislature, on Thursday afternoon concluded its 11th and final session after fulfilling all items on the set agenda.
During the session that began on March 24, Vuong Dinh Hue was elected as the new chairman of the NA on March 31, before former Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc became the country s president and Pham Minh Chinh was elected as the new prime minister on April 5.
The lawmakers also voted on other key personnel changes including those concerning cabinet members and senior legislators.

The National Assembly (NA) of Vietnam on Monday elected Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc as the state president.
A resolution on electing Phuc as the new president was adopted with an approval rate of 97.5 percent at the ongoing 11th session of the 14th NA, Vietnam News Agency reported.
In his sworn-in statement, Phuc vowed to be absolutely loyal to the nation, the people and the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and to work hard to fulfill the duty assigned by the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), the state and the people.
