Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Monday said that the arrival of the first batch of Covid-19 vaccines from Beijing was practical proof of the Pak-China friendship.
Earlier today, the first batch of the vaccines arrived in the country from Beijing via a special Pakistan Air Force (PAF) aircraft.

A Pakistan Air Force plane has left for China to acquire 500,000 doses of the coronavirus vaccine for free.
The
governmentâs National Command and Operation Centre confirmed this Sunday. It
said that China had announced free vaccines for Pakistan.
The
vaccine doses are expected to reach Pakistan Monday. These are being provided
as part of the first phase, and will be administered to health workers.

The Health Services Department under its Expanded Programme on Immunisation (EPI) has launched its anti-typhoid campaign in Rawalpindi under which 1.876 million children between the ages of 9 months and 15 years will be vaccinated.
Health Services Director (EPI Punjab) Dr Bashir Ahmed Siddiqui on Friday inaugurated the campaign by vaccinating children. According to the health officials, 123 union councils of Rawalpindi district have been selected for this campaign in which 1.876 million children will be vaccinated.
The drive will see participation from 1,101 EPI teams, while 225 supervisory union councils have been formed to oversee the campaign.
15-Day Typhoid Vaccination Drive in Rawalpindi to Begin on 1 Feb

The anti-typhoid campaign will run for 15 days, and a public awareness drive will be carried out simultaneously in collaboration with UNICEF.
Teams from the Health Department will visit educational institutes and other areas to vaccinate children. About 1,101 EPI teams will be involved in the campaign, and 225 supervisory union councils will oversee it.
The first phase of the campaign in which the children in the district of Rawalpindi will be vaccinated will commence on Monday, 1 February.
