The Vietnam SEA Games Organizing Committee made the announcement during an online SEA Games Federation meeting on Tuesday, said Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) President Abraham Tolentino.

It is yet another significant milestone as Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare graced the ground-breaking ceremony of the 2023 Pacific Games Stadiums project in Honiara today.
The PRC funded project ground breaking ceremony took place at the former SIFF Academy site.
Speaking during the occasion, the Prime Minister said Wednesday 5th May 2021 marks another significant milestone for the country in its journey towards the 2023 Pacific Games.
He said the 2023 Pacific Games Stadiums project is only one of five major development projects the government of the Peoples Republic of China had agreed to support Solomon Islands on, since the establishment of the two countries diplomatic relations.

TOKYO (Reuters) – The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games Organising Committee will likely meet with representatives of the International Olympic Committee, Japan’s government and Tokyo city to discuss the event, including whether to bar foreign spectators, Kyodo news said.
Sources earlier told Reuters that the games will be held without spectators from overseas because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The meeting would come just before the planned start of the Olympic Torch relay on March 25. Japan’s government and the organising committee have said they are committed to holding the games, which were delayed last year as the coronavirus spread around the world.
