But I am confident that the 95 percent efficacy rate the vaccine had against COVID-19 beginning 28 days after the first dose in clinical trials will remain true across the board. I am confident that the rigorous testing procedures mandated by the FDA are a testament to the vaccineâs safety, as safety data milestones required by the FDA for Emergency Use Authorization have been achieved. Wisconsin health officials on Thursday announced 59 new deaths related to COVID-19, moving the state s total to 4,255 deaths since the pandemic began.
Additionally, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) reported 129 new hospitalizations, moving the total number of hospitalizations during the pandemic to 19,785.
A total of 448,441 positive cases of COVID-19 have now been confirmed in Wisconsin, with 3,643 new cases reported Thursday.
