Venezuela, WHO discuss about Covid-19 vaccine distribution
Caracas, Apr 13 (Prensa Latina) Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro on Monday discussed with the World Health Organization (WHO) about Covid-19 vaccine doses distribution through Covax mechanism.
On Twitter, Maduro informed about a meeting held with WHO´s Director Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus; PAHO´s Director Carissa Etienne; and representatives of Gavi Alliance, aimed at increasing access to Covid-19 vaccine doses worldwide.
The videoconference was also geared up to accelerating Covid-19 vaccine doses in Venezuela, Maduro live-tweeted.
Venezuelan government granted an advance of CHF$59.2 million (US$64 million) to Covax mechanism, by virtue of commitment agreement signed in September 2020 for purchasing 11,374,000 vaccine doses in order to immunize Venezuela´s 20% of population.
Together with her mother, the 13-year-old pregnant girl sought out a doctor but the medical practitioner warned her that could put her life in danger. But a concerned former teacher of the girl provided pills that induced an abortion.
