Alexander West, 44, was at an address in Shaftesbury on Saturday, June 20, 2020 with his then partner’s family. Prosecuting, Jason Spellman, told Weymouth Magistrates’ Court how family members were having a glass of wine and West asked if he could have a glass before going to a bedroom. He then returned asking for another glass, but the victim declined and told him the wine was to be shared. West claimed he was owed a bottle of wine by the victim’s mother, and went to the kitchen to retrieve one.
1/1 A MAN beat another man unconscious in a rage after a night out, a court heard. Damien Leslie Gray, 39, admitted unlawfully and maliciously causing grievous bodily harm to another man on August 2 last year. Weymouth Magistrates Court heard how Gray, along with his partner, went on a couples night out with the victim and his partner. The court heard how the serious assault happened at Gray s home in Ayton Drive, Atlantic House, Portland after the victim hit his own partner in the face sometime during the evening. Prosecutor Elizabeth Valera said: The victim is known to the defendant. They had been drinking alcohol during a couples night out.
HMP Guys Marsh. A PRISONER s sentence has been extended after he was caught with a mobile phone in his cell. Ben Houldsworth, 29, had his cell at HMP Guys Marsh searched by following a tip-off he was in possession of a phone on March 5, 2020. Prosecuting, Andrew Newman, told Weymouth Magistrates Court how Houldsworth initially denied he had a phone, but then produced an iPhone with a charging cable. He added: I would say this is a serious offence of having a mobile phone in a cell. Houldsworth, who was previously jailed for nine years for drug dealing in 2019, pleaded guilty to possession of a mobile phone.
