A delivery driver for Christchurch-based Victoria Food Service Catering has been awarded $22,520 for constructive dismissal. During the meeting, Cowan told Wyles that because of some mistakes with deliveries made prior to Christmas, her role was being reduced to cleaning, and she would only be rostered for 10 hours per week. When Wyles left work for the day she emailed Cowan outlining that she was disappointed and upset with the decision, and she felt she was being treated unfairly.

COVID-19 has presented enormous challenges – disrupting travel, trade, and family ties. I want to acknowledge that from the start.
But it presents once-in-a-generation opportunity to change some of the shortcomings in the way we’ve been doing things, and that includes the way we manage immigration.
