Police arrest driver after fatal west Wichita crash Wichita police arrested a 33-year-old man after a fatal accident Monday southwest of the downtown area. The crash was reported around 4:20 p.m. at Maple and Elizabeth.   They found 80-year-old Frankie Baxter pinned inside a vehicle, and after crews got her out she was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said Baxter was driving north on Elizabeth and turned to go east on Maple.   Her car was then struck from behind by another vehicle that was going east at a high rate of speed.   The impact pushed Baxter’s car over a curb and into a tree.
