SBS Scottish Women’s Premier League leaders Glasgow City won 4-2 after being pegged back twice at Motherwell.

Glasgow City stayed four points clear at the top after overcoming a Motherwell side who hit back twice.
An early goal from a Leanne Ross free kick for City was cancelled out by Rosie Slater, only for Mairead Fulton to swiftly restore the advantage from the spot.

Janine van Wyk had a first half penalty saved by Celtic’s Logan, Lee Alexander tipped an effort from Rachel Donaldson over the bar.
Chloe Logan saved a close range connection off Zanetta Wyne and when a spot kick was given against Alexander midway through the second period, the keeper caught Sarah Ewens’ penalty.
Jo Love rattled the hosts’ crossbar from 25 yards and a Clare Shine header was bundled off the line by Anna Filbey.

Glasgow City went five points clear at the top of the SBS Scottish Women’s Premier League, while Celtic rose to second.

Chinchilla bags brace for leaders
Priscilla Chinchilla struck twice in the first half, as Glasgow City took the points 2-0 at title rivals Rangers.
The Costa Rican international scored early on via the post, after an attempted clearance went straight to her.
City keeper Lee Alexander made a perfectly-timed tackle to thwart Sam Kerr, before Chinchilla chipped in the visitors’ second goal.

BBC ALBA will broadcast one SBS Scottish Women’s Premier League 1 match every round for the remainder of the 2020/21 season.
With 11 matches scheduled or having already been broadcast, this news further increases the record number of live matches for Scottish women’s football.
The historic coverage will continue with Celtic v Glasgow City on Wednesday 12 May, a repeat of the fixture that restarted the 2020/21 season on BBC ALBA. Glasgow City have a 100% record over Celtic this season, winning both games without conceding. However, Celtic have improved since they last met on the 4th of April and are currently on a five game winning streak.

Ten-player Glasgow City defeated Spartans 3-1 to stay top of the SBS Scottish Women’s Premier League by three points from Rangers.

Glasgow City had Erin Clachers dismissed ten minutes from time, defender Jenna Clark taking over between the sticks to see her side through to a 3-1 win over Spartans.
An Arna Asgrimsdottir header put City in front, with Jo Love and Ode Fulutudilu making it 3-0 before half-time, Katherine Smart later replying.
