Beech Avenue, Pinehurst Picture: GOOGLE A CYCLIST flashed a “salute” as he was spreadeagled over the bonnet of a Seat Ibiza, a court heard. The man was cycling across the Zebra crossing on Beech Avenue near The Circle, Pinehurst, when he was struck by Kay Geddes’ car. He suffered minor injuries in the crash, which took place at around 7.45am on December 20, 2019. Wiltshire Police prosecutor Mike Smith told Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Monday that Geddes, 56, who stopped at the scene, was interviewed about the incident in March last year. She claimed she’d looked as she was approaching the crossing but saw nothing coming. The next thing she knew the male cyclist had thrown himself at the car, she claimed.
