Covid: From Bokaro, 3 Oxygen Express trains for UP in 4 days

In a span of four days, three Oxygen Express trains left Bokaro for Lucknow, including one with five tankers of oxygen on Monday morning. A total of 171 tonnes of liquid medical oxygen has been supplied from Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) to Uttar Pradesh. At present, the Yogi Adityanath government is working to airdrop oxygen cylinders and tankers to fetch oxygen from Bokaro, said Manikant Dhan, chief of communication, BSL. Meanwhile, the Haryana government has also started the process of bringing liquid medical oxygen from the BSL. On Sunday, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced that his government has placed an order for 6,000 metric tonnes of liquid medical oxygen from the BSL. And soon, oxygen will be brought from Bokaro to Haryana by a special train.

Strict directions have been given to check black marketing. The Chief Minister also visited the site where a 500-bed Covid-19 hospital is to be set up in Panipat with an initial provision of 250 beds that will be ready in three days. The entire hospital will be commissioned in 15 days.

COVID-19: Deputy Commissioners of six Haryana districts authorised to impose prohibitory orders ANI | Updated: Apr 25, 2021 09:20 IST Chandigarh(Haryana) [India], April 25 (ANI): The deputy commissioners of Gurugram, Faridabad, Sonipat, Hisar, Karnal and Panchkula have been authorised to impose prohibitory orders under Section 144 of CrPC (Criminal Procedure Code) prohibiting the gatherings of more than four people unless specifically permitted, said Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday. Khattar s statement came at a state-level meeting of the coronavirus control committee chaired by him on Saturday. He further informed that about 1.1 crore people above the age of 18 years will be administered COVID-19 vaccination across the state from May 1 and an amount of Rs 880 crores would be spent on the vaccine administration, which would be borne by the state government.

New Delhi: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday (April 24) announced free COVID-19 vaccination for all above the age of 18 years. Earlier in the day, the Haryana CM chaired a state-level meeting of the COVID Monitoring Committee to discuss ways to curb the prevailing COVID-19 situation. The government will also open a registration portal which will be made operational from April 28 where everyone will have to register themselves for vaccination. Registration is must to get the jab. More details on how and where the registration can be done are awaited, news agency ANI reported.
