HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) - Beginning next week, people 75 and over will be able to receive COVID-19 vaccines at a new health facility in Hattiesburg.
The HealthWorks Immunization Clinic will start administering Moderna vaccines on Monday, Jan. 11.
The clinic is on the first floor of Hattiesburg Clinic.
The facility, which is the result of a partnership between Forrest General Hospital and Hattiesburg Clinic, has already been vaccinating healthcare workers since Jan. 4, as part of phase one of the COVID-19 vaccine roll-out plan from the Mississippi State Department of Health.

JACKSON, Miss. (WDAM) - The Mississippi State Department of Health reported nearly 1,800 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state.
MSDH reported 1,784 new COVID-19 cases and 32 additional deaths Sunday.
Four new deaths were reported between Dec. 14-Jan. 2, while another 28 deaths were discovered during a review of death certificates between Nov. 7-Dec. 28, including two in Marion County and another in Jasper County.
The latest figures brought the state’s total cases and deaths since March to 222,061 and 4,871.
