May 6, 2021 CONCORD (PRESS RELEASE) – NH Gives , New Hampshire’s single largest day of giving set to take place on June 8 and 9, is getting a boost thanks to the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation and its donors. To encourage other donors to give during the 24-hour event, the Charitable Foundation and its donors will contribute a $300,000 site-wide match, a $19,000 match for participating Upper Valley nonprofits and an additional $119,000 in matches to specific participating nonprofits. Since the New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits launched NH Gives in 2016, the event has raised more than $4.8 million from thousands of donors to support hundreds of nonprofits across New Hampshire. Frisbie Foundation to become Rochester Community Health Foundation
ROCHESTER - The Greater Rochester Community Health Foundation has signed an agreement with the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation, creating a formal collaboration between the two organizations. GRCHF will become a supporting organization” of the NHCF, drawing on NHCF’s community knowledge and financial and investment expertise to meet its mission.
The Greater Rochester Community Health Foundation is the new name of the Frisbie Foundation and is being funded with proceeds from the sale of the nonprofit Frisbie Memorial Hospital to HCA Healthcare, Inc. (Frisbie Memorial Hospital remains open to serve the community, under the ownership of HCA Healthcare, Inc.).

Winners of the 2021 Alex Higgins Memorial Space Camp Scholarship
The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center is pleased to announce the winners of the 2021 Alex Higgins Memorial Space Camp Scholarship. Since 2001, more than 50 New Hampshire children and teens have traveled to the U.S. Space Camp & Rocket Center in Hunstville, AL, for a week of simulated astronaut or pilot training, thanks to the scholarship. This represents a combined effort among Alex Higgins’ family, the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center, and the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation to honor Alex’s memory. Space Camp provides the opportunity for children and teens to engage in a science and engineering adventure that Alex Higgins truly enjoyed.
