DAYTONA BEACH As national retail and restaurant chains flock to this city s fast-growing LPGA area, Vittorio and Catarina Tiano quietly opened their new eatery on West International Speedway Boulevard in January. If this location (at One Daytona) didn t pop up as being available, we probably wouldn t have opened a second location, said Catarina Tiano. She and her husband also run a Tiano s restaurant that opened in 2009 next to New Smyrna Beach Municipal Golf Course.
The new Tiano s across from Daytona International Speedway is one of a handful of new stores and restaurants that have opened along ISB in recent months.
Feb 1, 2021 11:42 AM Daytona Beach, FL - A 66-year-old Daytona Beach man is recovering from stab wounds in the hospital and so is his son, 36-year-old Bruce Orsborn. Volusia Sheriff s investigators say the younger man stabbed his father in the back during a struggle over the knife. A witness told deputies that the son had made suicidal statements while brandishing the knife. The father tried to take the knife from him, which is when the stabbing occurred. Deputies were able to secure Orsborn who had a self-inflicted knife wound to his throat. Both men were transported to Halifax Health Medical Center as trauma alerts. The father is expected to survive his injuries but there s no word on Orsborn s condition. He faces charges of domestic battery on a person over 65.

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. - A father shot his daughter s boyfriend after deputies say the man attacked her and his wife.
Volusia County deputies responded to a home on the 1900 block of Forest Ave. in Daytona Beach on Friday night. A mother and father reportedly heard their daughter screaming outside the home and when they went to help her, they reportedly saw her boyfriend, 26-year-old Vincent Moore, attacking her. The daughter was bleeding from her mouth and face, deputies said. The parents said they tried to break up the fight to no avail.

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said a father shot his daughter’s boyfriend Friday night during a violent attack.
The shooting was reported just before 11 p.m. Friday at a home on the 1900 block of Forest Avenue in Daytona Beach.
Officials said the girl’s parents heard their daughter screaming outside and saw her boyfriend, Vincent Moore, 26, attacking her.
Investigators said the daughter was bleeding from her mouth and face.
“The parents said they tried to break up the fight to no avail,” deputies said. “The father told detectives he fired one warning shot into the ground while the mother tried to get Moore to leave.”
