The Salida Mountain Trails annual fundraiser Thursday at Fun Street Family Arcade in Salida raised $42,000 for the organization, Executive Director Jon Terbush said.

Salida Mountain Trails will host its annual member party and fundraiser from 5:30-9 p.m. Oct. 19 at Fun Street Family Arcade, 243 F St.

Longfellow Elementary School fourth-graders received free bike helmets and a lesson on road safety from the local police and fire departments Thursday at the school.
