House press briefing room with peter alexander. peter, a couple headlines i think we should mention. by the way, were not at war with north korea. the president never made that declaration. they didnt assume that tweet would be taken as such even though the north koreans did. sarah huckabee sanders asked about it but notably did not mention puerto rico which is undergoing a massive humanitarian crisis in her opening remarks. didnt mention it at all, and those are americans down there that are fa...

Ignorant, absurd, hateful. and ratcheting up of tensions between iran and the united states contextualize that for us. what does it mean? >> katy it means nothing good. weve been through these exchanges before, have a long history in iran. when iranians hear the president speak in this fashion they go back to 1953 when the cia and britains mi-6 basically overthrew an elected irani government. this kind of rhetoric i think will take us into a war, but it is going to harden positions throughout ir...

Was more than willing to publish stolen e-mails from the dnc and podes podesta. those e-mails were ridiculous, absurd, untrue stories being churned out, on and on. theres a lot we know already. >> you followed this extremely closely? >> i started following this back in the summer of 2016 because there was something going on when the dnc hack happened, we had a huge political crisis when republicans physically broke into the democratic party. that is different kind of theft. >> do you think this ...

Weve seen a lot of pushback from mike pence, the white house and kelly anne conway, all on this story. quoting mike pence, the allegations in this aerial of categorically false and represent the latest attempt by the media to divide this administration. it goes on. the american people know i could not be more honored to be working side by side with the president who is working to make america great again. whatever fake news may come our way, our time team will focus all our efforts on the pres...

Long. first lady melania trump was seated next to putin at the dinner. the white house says near the dinners end, the president of the united states got up there his seat elsewhere, went over to his wife and thats when he began speaking with putin in full view of the other world leaders. >> and it concludes that the insinuation that the white house is trying to hide a second meeting is false, absurd. it is not merely perfectly normal, it is part of a presidents duties to interact with world lead...

People attending? >> it is part of the anti-trump hysteria. >> the white house said it was small talk and because the accounts false, malicious, absurd. should they have made it public? given the probe, it would have made it a nonstory. perhaps they were waiting to pounce on the press if it leaked. her to fathom how a conversation in full view of the 18 world leaders and their spouses gets billed as a shadowy secret meeting. when it comes to this president, many news outlets dont give him the be...

I dont think that happened to van jones. one other point. i find it interesting how the media loves this kind of stuff when they are to the target. decades of consumer journalism were born from 60 minutes. every local tv news station had a consumer reporter that would dog some poured guy at a supermarket because he sold milk at the sale date. it was like, it was just ridiculous, absurd, until, then it happens to them. then its like i hate this. >> kimberly: cnn is doing a good job of doing thems...

Continues to implode the way were seeing it. i think theres a point that jeffrey touched on a bit here, the fact that the messaging wasnt right with the house bill coming out after they passed it. i think one of the things that both the white house -- >> what does that mean? >> the messaging, they havent defined who is going to be helped by this bill and also make it clear who is going to be hurt if they dont repeal and replace obamacare. this is very important. its upwards of a sixth or seventh...

Helping. and i think thats probably what the president was trying to get to. >> that is absurd, absurd. absurd. i need to say it again. the man stood with a whole bunch of other white men, but when you pulled the camera out there was a woman or two, celebrating. if he thought was the bill was mean or he didnt know the messaging or didnt know who it helps -- we know a lot of people it hurts, women being high on the list, why did he go celebrate? and now he gets to fully flip the position, throw h...
