Adam Hamdaqa News Today

Students from across the province got the opportunity to show off their science projects at the Hydro-Quebec Super-expo sciences provincial finals this weekend.

Pierrefonds Community High School student Adam Hamdaqa recently won first prize honours at Montreal Regional Science and Technology Fair.

Killed were three British nationals, an Australian, a Polish national, an American-Canadian dual citizen and a Palestinian.

Last year, West Island student Adam Hamdaqa fell off his bike and wondered how he could help others his age contact their parents in the event of an accident. This year, he won first prize with his 'Guardian Helmet' in Hydro-Quebec's Montreal regional science and technology fair. His project, which can detect movement and send a signal to guardians or emergency services if a cyclist falls, set him apart from 130 high school and CEGEP participants.

Three Pierrefonds Community High School students have won Genius awards for their science projects.
