With no big announcement, WKBD-TV has ended its longtime affiliation with the CW, which has moved its programming to the lower-rated WADL-TV.

The sale comes as the federal government pursues WADL-TV CEO Kevin Adell for allegedly unpaid estate and gift taxes.

WADL-TV, a MyNetworkTV affiliated station in Clinton Township, was launched in May 1989 and reaches nearly two million households.
