By Tim Kowols -- Door County officials will have extra hoops to jump if they ever want to repeat a drawdown of the Forestville Mill Pond.

There's a new option for families to enjoy the beautiful northeast Wisconsin scenery and weather this season.

The 158-acre property contains part of the headwaters of the Ahnapee River and surrounding wetlands that slow down water runoff entering the river.

During the next several years following the drawdown, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources will stock the millpond with largemouth bass and bluegill.

Bay Shore Outfitters, which has locations in Sturgeon Bay and Sister Bay, opens June 4 in Algoma with sales and rentals along with clothing and gear.

FORESTVILLE - Nearly a year and a half into the drawdown of the Forestville Millpond, residents frustrations since last summer have not been lessened.
