Researchers from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati have developed an artificial intelligence-based model named OsteoHRNet, which detects knee osteoarthritis severity from X-ray images. The algorithm uses an efficient Deep Convolutional Neural Network along with the High-Resolution Network, to accurately predict arthritis severity as per WHO s Kellgren and Lawrence grading scale.
The risk of developing breast cancer is usually analyzed using clinical risk models, like the Breast Cancer Surveillance Consortium (BCSC). The AI model outperformed it.
