Among the nine boys soccer teams in the Eastern Maumee Bay community, there were no league champions, but there were three teams that finished as runner-up, narrowly missing on a title.

From 10 local schools and our scattered cities, villages and hamlets in four counties, it is amazing what athletes from the Eastern Maumee Bay Community can accomplish in one year.

Last year, Oak Harbor boys soccer won a league co-championship with just two seniors and that bodes well for the Rockets this year.

During the Division II regional track meet in Lexington, Ohio, Oak Harbor senior Peyton Bloomer and Genoa senior Noah Koch came back with championships.

The Oak Harbor girls track team had 10 individuals win seven events as the Rockets scored 197 points to easily win the Sandusky Bay Conference Bay Division title. Huron was in second with 122 points.

Oak Harbor senior Peyton Bloomer started high-jumping in the seventh grade, mostly because her older sister, Ally, did the same event some years before her.
