The father of Stella-Lilly McCorkindale, who is the ninth child to die from the infection in the UK, took her to the hospital three times before she died.

Among those speaking out was Aimee Byron, of Fareham, Hampshire. Her two boys aged three and 17 months both contracted the deadly illness which has claimed the lives of nine children in the UK.
